Developing Clinical Skills offers a practical guide to three important techniques used in optometric practice.

This programme consists of three individual sections covering the practice of:

Contact tonometry
Binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy (both at the slit-lamp and with a headset)
Gonioscopy

Learning objectives

3.1.2 Understand how to undertake and interpret van Herick technique.
3.1.2 Understand the use of contact procedures with slit lamp for angle assessment.
3.1.3 To understand the use of slit lamp and indirect lenses for assessment of the fundus.
3.1.6 Understand how to measure intraocular pressure using a contact technique.
