College issues reminder to Members wishing to stand for election to Council

10 January 2006

College Members who live or work in one of the following regions – Eastern, Northern Ireland, Scotland, London, North West, South East, West Midlands and Yorks and the Humber – are reminded that Monday 16 January is the closing date for nominations to Council.

Meeting three times a year, College Council is responsible for determining the strategic and professional direction of the College and monitoring the performance of the Board of Trustees. Council Members, who serve a three year term of office, are the College’s representatives in the region for which they are elected, bringing members’ views directly to the College’s attention and sharing the College’s thinking, direction and activity within their region.

Members in those regions where there are vacancies should have received the Call for Nominations before Christmas. Anyone requiring duplicate paperwork or wishing to discuss the opportunity further should call Beth Elgood, Director of Member Services and Communications on 020 7766 4350 or Wingyee Chan, Executive Assistant, on 020 7766 4341.
