College of Optometrists

Following graduation from Aston University, Adam worked for a large multiple before moving to Bristol in 1998. Having worked in a wide range of settings from laser eye surgery clinics to university teaching, he now works in the Bristol Eye Hospital. Recently obtaining the Diploma of Glaucoma from the College, he also enjoys working in the Lucentis clinic and in private practice.

David works for Boots Opticians Ltd at their Newton Abbot practice. Since June 2009, he has also been employed as the Optometric Advisor for Devon PCT and Torbay Care Trust. He is on the Professional Advisory Committee of Diabetes UK where he represents Optometry. David is a College Trustee.

Sarah works in independent practice and within a GP surgery in Somerset. She has a specialist interest in dry eye and therapeutics and lectures in these subjects and is a qualified optometrist independent prescriber. She is a member of the Somerset Local Optical Committee and was the lead optometrist for setting up an acute eye service in Somerset.  Sarah sit on the College's Education Committee.
