Whichever method of contact you choose please bear in mind that, for operational reasons, we cannot guarantee to offer you your first choice of appointment day or time. Please have an alternative date or time in mind. The College Meeting Rooms have a heavy programme of use and so Meeting Room Tours will not always be possible.
Please give your name, contact details, the number of people in your party and the dates and times you would like to visit.

**Advance Notice of Closure Dates**

We regret that the museum will also be closed for operational reasons on the following dates this year:
Thursday 2 February 2012-Monday 13 February 2012 inclusive. Re-opening Tuesday 14 February.
Wednesday 11 April 2012-Friday 20 April 2012 inclusive. Reopening Monday 23 April.
There will also be a week of closure (dates to be confirmed in mid October).
Remember that the museum is always closed at weekends and on UK public holidays. In 2012 these include:
Friday 6 April (Good Friday), Monday 9 April (Easter Monday), Monday 7 May (Early Spring Bank Holiday), Monday 4 June (Spring Bank Holiday), Tuesday 5 June (Diamond Jubilee), Monday 27 August (Summer Bank Holiday)
The Olympic and Paralympic Games take place in London in Summer 2012. All the indications are that this is likely to result in severe transport disruption. It is also likely that the museum will close for part of the time. Visitors from outside London are therefore strongly advised to avoid planning a trip to the capital during this period.
Appointments should be available at all other times subject to levels of demand and subject to you giving us sufficient notice.
You are welcome to write, email or leave a voice message at any time.

**SPECIAL EVENTS**
As part of the annual Open House London event, we expect that the museum and meeting rooms will again be open free of charge and without need for an appointment on a Sunday in September 2012 between 1pm and 5pm. Just drop-in between those hours and a warm welcome will be assured.
This event has expanded every year in which we have participated. In 2011 we attracted 300 visitors to this event. Will you help us surpass this figure in 2012?
We would also love to hear from College Members who might be willing to help as volunteer stewards in this and similar events. Please contact the curator.
The AGM of the Ophthalmic Antiques International Collectors' Club will be hosted by the museum on Sunday 13 May 2012. For club members this is another excellent opportunity to gain weekend access to the displays.
