   International eye health expert Professor Mark Bullimore will give the keynote speech at our 2013 conference. Optometry Tomorrow, which takes place on 17 and 18 of March next year, is due to be the biggest conference we have ever hosted.

   Our patient website www.lookafteryoureyes.org has gained the Internet Crystal Mark from the Plain English Campaign, just in time for Plain English Day on 14 December.

7. Optometrists learn about front-line eye injuries, and patients with dementia

   Professor Rob Scott recently told a meeting of optometrists that in the four years to 2008 there were 630 serious military casualties of which 63 were eye injuries.
