Work-based assessments
Stage 1 Assessments
Stage 1 consists of three or four visits from a College assessor across a 6-9 month time period.
Hospital Experience
During Stage 1 you are required to spend some time working in a hospital eye clinic to gain experience of the different demands of hospital eye care.
Stage 2
The Stage 2 assessment is a single 4 hour visit during which you will be assessed on your ability to carry out a Routine eye assessment, contact lens fitting and aftercare, and on the overarching competencies.
