Since 2009, the College Research Symposium has provided an opportunity to share ideas and contribute to the research dialogue for optometry, optics and vision science. It has also acted as an engaging and approachable introduction to research for those looking to increase their involvement in research in any environment.
In 2012, the Research Symposium sessions were integrated within Optometry Tomorrow, the College's Annual Conference, which took place on Sunday 18 and Monday 19 March 2012 in Brighton. This allowed new research and research skills training to reach a much wider audience, and provided more opportunity to share ideas.
Optometry Tomorrow 2013
As before, research will be a big part of Optometry Tomorrow 2013, which will take place on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 March in Nottingham. As well as sessions introducing new research and research skills, the conference will feature posters of new research and how these developments relate to practice. Poster presentations provide a unique opportunity for delegates to talk directly to the person behind the research, allowing them to find out exactly what the results mean for them.
