Station 1:

When measuring the sphere curve with a geneva lens measure, we have to assume the material is crown glass as the refractive index of the lens is not given. This is done by placing the legs horizontally with the middle leg on the prism reference point. Correct?

Station 2:

Are we guaranteed to get a glass PLANO concave lens. The calculations are a lot more difficult/impossible? if one surface power is not zero.

Are the lens thickness calipers a red herring?

How many decimal places do we record n?

Do you lose 1/3 of the marks for not recording F1 =0?

Station 5: what would you do if the length of the sides was not sufficient to give an adequate length of drop?
