Hey, i kw this is a silly Q but is the CLC exactly half way between where the sphere and the cyl are focussed? And is this right, on pre-presbyopes you over minus before doin x-cyl to push the CLC behind the retina so they over accommodate to bring the CLC onto the retina?

Yes to both, although to be precise, the CLC is halfway between where the two SPHERICAL powers are focussed, and the difference between these is the cyl. eg. if you have an Rx of +3.00/+2.00 x 180, one meridian is focussed with +3.00, and the other is focussed with +5.00, and the CLC is focussed with +4.00.

Hope that makes sense

Lisa
