Jun 30, 2005 22:30:57 When taking vision (unaided), would you proceed to measure near vision, immediatley after dist visiom, or would it be more appropriate to do it after dist CT. same for post refractiom , CT and Fixation disparity, dist and near same time, or some other. I would welcome opinions.# Thank you. |

RE: routine
Jun 30, 2005 23:36:05 it doesn't really make a difference. Do what you do in practice if your talking about for Part B's. Ideally, Dist VA followed by CT and then same for near to me seems to flow better as you haven't got the Px to keep changing fixation, which may save a bit of time.

Jul 01, 2005 09:24:53 Also, post refraction, have to alter trial frame pd so makes sense to do all distance stuff then all near stuff so dont keep having to change the pd. |

Jul 07, 2005 01:01:02 No point in changing for near pd if pre-pres,only for pres |

RE: routine
Jul 07, 2005 17:29:50 But if higher Rx would get prismatic effects. Why wouldnt you change for pre-pres.... am i missin something? |

Jul 09, 2005 18:57:45 yeh, wats the point in adjusting for near,if the specs are dispensed for distance PD in pre pres |

Jul 09, 2005 19:01:03 Good point. But if measuring binocular status and npc etc would get prismatic effect. Suppose it depends on the Rx and what it will be used for. |
