RE: after care
Jul 05, 2005 20:37:44 This is what i did in exam (+passed) assumin u just done sight test so not have to do refraction or ophthalmoscopy: H+S Wash hands VA+vision Pupil size in norm+dark VPA etc measurements K's + TBUT Slit lamp exam (routine from IT) with white light, then with fluoro incl lid eversion. I inserted soft lens first coz have to wash hands after GP solutions. Then cleaned and inserted RGP. Fit assesment - soft 1st so longer for GP settling. Then RGP fit assesment with white then fluoro. VA Remove lenses - GP then soft, just to be kind. Discussion of suitable lenses etc.
Think thats it....

Jul 06, 2005 23:52:19 Oh and it would be worth having a quick read of the various staining patterns, deposits and contraindications to c/l wear and how you would manage them in practice. Also about soft and RGP contact lens solutions, ads and disads and their contents etc.. |
