1. Can repair vouchers only be issued by the practice who did the original dispense?

2. Can glaucoma pxs wear CL's?

3. Can you change an outside Rx following a quick recheck, or do you have to do a complete eye examination?

1. think so but not sure about this.

2. glaucoma is not a contrindication to CL wear, but if pt is using eyedrops for glaucoma, this could be problematic, and may affect your lens choice. The only other problem I can think of would be if pt had trabeculectomy - obviously no CL wear until ok'd by ophthalmologist.

3. You'd be braver than me if you did! As I understand it, by refracting the patient and issuing a changed prescription you effectively take over responsibility for that pt. So, if the other guy missed a tumour/RD/pathological disc or whatever, you were the last optom to "examine" the patient, so you should have detected it.

1. As i understand it, any practice can issue repair voucher. But is a bit of a nightmare trying to trace whether is correct ie. most recent, nhs specs being repaired etc.

2. Yep, as above. Locally for me, most popular drops are used once daily in evening so no prob with cls expect EW.

3. Personally i wouldnt get involved.. if had no choice, would def do full test. but i have no idea what the official answer is.
