Sep 06, 2005 08:54:11 if a px had a private test 2 months ago and come in today saying they are now on income support can you issue a voucher and re test on NHS? |

Sep 06, 2005 10:49:38 There is no need for a repeat test, so they cannot have one but I see no reason why you could not issue a voucher using their private Rx. |

Sep 06, 2005 12:57:49 There is no indication for a GOS sight test but the GOS regulations do allow any practitioner to issue a GOS voucher to patients who become entitled after their private sight test. |

Sep 06, 2005 19:23:08 I agree with Tim - they can also get their eyetest money back. Only within a six month period of the private test though. The yellow form has to be endorsed. I believe (but will need to look up) that the issuer of the yellow form does not have to be the prescriber - it can be the dispenser. |
