1)for the exam, when should i be recommending a peroxide system as opposed to multipuprose solution?

2)how long can the lens be stored in the sterile neutralised solution after peroxide use?

3)is LC65 a good surfactant cleaner for use in conjunction with the above? can anyone help me with the ingredients contained in LC65?

1 - when the px has a possible allergy or is sensitive to all in ones. Also if the px is already used to the peroxide system and it is working and they are compliant.

2 they need recleaning and new peroxiding every week while is storage.

3 LC65 is okay - yes.

1. Some clinicians would argue that overnight soaking in H2O2 is the only way of guaranteeing the destruction of acanthoemeba cysts. That would mean using one of the two step systems, not the one steps.

2. yep a week

3. LC65 used to be provided with the Oxsept starter packs, it's the one we provide for our H2O2 patients.

ps - don't forget : all lenses in storage need a weekly clean and change of storage solution no matter what the system is. So if its all-in-one : you still give the lenses a weekly bath :-)
