RE: why does PSCLO give the most glare?
Oct 05, 2005 13:36:32 because of the nature of the opacity, it will scatter light more, therefore cause more problems with glare. Some ophthalmologists will remove a cataract in a patient with 6/6 vision if patient has PSCLO causing significant problems with glare. Contrast sensitivity is often significantly reduced too. |

RE: why does PSCLO give the most glare?
Oct 05, 2005 13:45:54 sorry, what i was meant to ask was, why does it scatter light the most? i reckon its to do with the curvature of the posterior capsule etc combined with the opacity?? |

RE: why does PSCLO give the most glare?
Oct 05, 2005 15:43:22 It is to do with the position of the opacity relative to the nodal point of the eye. |
