Provis kindly sent me some samples of these newlenses for myself. I have no connection to them whatsoever. I must say they are much more comfortable than the original Daysoft UV lens and at the price that they are sold for, they give us independents quite a very competitive deal to pass on to our patients. Importantly , they are not being sold in supermarkets.

i have a few patients on the 73,but i have found it a difficult lens when all day comfort is needed,so hopefully this lens will solve the problem.

Don't jump the gun boys, something interesting is brewing in the background. i've had alot of e-mails and thankyou to all concerned. Meetings are taking place soon with the suppliers and lets see how much the suppliers really value the indies trade.

Send your e-mail to ukindependants@aol.com with your details so that you receive all the latest developements. Please list your goc numbers.

personally, I can never understand the logic of saving a few pence on a lens - when for a bit more you cn get something like Oasys - which really works (and puts more money in the tin). I have now taken nearly everyone off gels and on to Oasys.$-$ :-) palfio

Dear Buzzar, Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated.

Dear Ikon, The 72% is a very effective replacenet lens for Soflens one-day and the 58% will prove to be an effective replacement for J&J & CIBA one-day lenses. I should have introduced it sooner!

Dear Hitman, Good luck.

Dear Palif, You are correct, it is not all about pennies (but note, daysoftuv is half the cost of J&J). The more serious issue is brand. Every time now you give one of your patients a box of lenses available in a Supermarket you effectively endorse the purchase of the same product from a Supermarket. daysoftuv 72 % and daysoftuv 58% are not available in Supermarkets and I believe will give Independents a suitably broad choice of one-day brands to replace the others and at distincly affordable prices to Opticians.

This week we will be distributing our Mail-shot to all customes.

Kind regards

ron
