I had my mocks last week and was asked:

1 - "why is it that the temporal field is 100 degrees? How can we see what is effectively behind us?". I actually couldn't think why - any suggestions?

2 - Was asked in IT about calibration of my tonometer - it's automatic canon tx10 so how can I tell whether its accurate? any ideas?!

also, does anyone have any pointers on dispensing revision?

Hi - i have an idea about the extra 10 degerees - effectively behind us - i think it is to do with total interan reflection of the light from the cornea.

Probrably have to call the company if your tonometer isn't calibrated - just like i would have o do with the pulsair if it reads anything other than 30 and 50 on demo. Just a thought

Draw a ray diagram (as 1st year optics), as light is refracted by cornea the ray can come from quite a way back (cornea is also steep curve). Limiting factor is the skull shape & how deeply set the globes are.
