I am interested in acquiring a hamblin ophthalmoscope -I think the y have not been made for a while. They had a lens chain rather like a specialist. were they any good ? It is for a little collection I am making

You want to have a talk with Henri Obstfeld at City University. He knows a thing or two about collectables..

should still be some around. The requirement when they were made, by Hamblin Instruments, is that they should be tough enough to withstand being dropped down a liftshaft by a junior doctor in the eye department. Check the bottom of the lift-shafts at the Radcliffe in Oxford.

PS Palfi, you are the guy who can make a ret out of 2 used bolts, a car battery and a second hand pushchair, why do you need a Hamblin Ophthalmoscope?
