Pulsair
Feb 21, 2005 13:45:50 hi, Can anyone give me any technical information on pulsair ie - when it actually takes the reading in terms of the IR light beams - not much in the user guide on that.
Also what are the differences between an older model pulsair and the newer one? |

RE: Pulsair
Feb 21, 2005 23:35:23 Pulsair shuts off the ramp of air when the amount of light reflected off the cornea and noted by the photo cell reaches a maximum value. In truth it shuts off just as the reading goes down. This is just when the cornea is applanated. Mark 1 is calibrated to 34+/-1 and 54+/-1. Mark 2 is calibrated at 30+/-1 & 50 +/-1 and will store your 4 readings & give an average. No difference in actual measurement methods. |
