Who's the best?
Sep 26, 2005 22:05:13 Correct me if I'm wrong please:
The editorial in Optician this week comments on a GOC case against Optical Express. It seems OE made a claim in an advertising campaign that implied superiority. The case was dropped by the GOC 1 week before it was due to be called because the rules on advertising were changed in June 05 and the rule to stop you claiming superiority over another optom has now been crapped. Have I got this wrong? Have the Rules on Publicity changed without publicity? Can I now claim to be the best optom on the High Street without fear of being hauled before the GOC? |

RE: Who's the best?
Sep 28, 2005 11:34:51 I put a posting on www.opticianonline.net saying that the GOC will spell out its position on this matter in Friday's OPTICIAN.
All I had a reply from a Lady called Claire lambasting the OPTICIAN for not criticising Eye Week. Is that one of you?? Come on own up!!

RE: Who's the best?
Sep 28, 2005 18:22:07 The Advertising Standards Authority might have something to say about claims of superiority. |
