So, listening to Johnnie Walker on the radio this evening I hear I can throw away my readers for £1595 per eye by having a harmless treatment in Harley Street which uses a pen which changes my corneal curvature with collagen, as approved by USA FDA. Where have I been, what am I missing, anyoneone tell me about it?

The procedure is called Conductive Keratoplasty (CK). There was an article in Optometry Today June 13 2003 which explained this process written by David Allamby. The title was 'Presbyopic correction comes of age with CK'.

Thanks Steve Johns (apologies to palfi)

-I'll dredge the archives if OT's web-site back file goes back that far. This sort of PR reminds me a bit of ortho-keratoplasty which is of course a totally new technique. I used reverse geometry corneal contact lenses to try, temporarily, to reduce the myopia of the British Sprint Relay team in the 1968 Olympics.
