i buy on ebay - second hand and new - i would not buy the ones which have a yellow filter - an ophthalmologist said it affected colour discrimination- hope this helps

Get in touch with a rep (keeler maybe) and ask for some on approval and see which one you prefer. Might cost more than ebay but you get what you like. Alex

What do you have at present?

I use a Volk 90 But would like a superpupil and also a 70ds lens. Quite a shopping list!

yes - EBay is good for optometric stuff if you are careful. I got a new ophthalmoscope for $10 = post $14 from USA. Well please!

I swap between a 90 superfield and a 78D, the superfield lens is harder to use intially, but yields good result with small pupils; once mastered you will never look back. I tried a SuperVitreous lens when in hospital practice and was really impressed when used for the peripheral retina, and getting an overall assessment in an undilated pupil- But 3 Volks seem excessive.

I've always found the 90D to offer the best of all worlds...

... small and light for ease of manipulation ... good mag and field of view - of course SuperField gives slightly wider view but I find the 90D gives a sharper image, works well undilated too ... as posted earlier, avoid the yellow tint ... cheapest lens! £119.95 + VAT from opticalmarketplace.co.uk (whom I can throughly recommend for good quick service and keen pricing ... no I don't work for them!)

Has anyone tried the new Volk digital range?

For some reviews of the Digital Wide Field lens, there are some threads on the www.theoptom.com forum
