I have had Px in who is registered Blind due to Diabetic retinopathy. She has been on EPO (to treat anaemia/ kidney disease) for a couple of months and is reporting improvement in VA (seeing colours of things) which I can confirm ...31/07/04: nothing at 6m /1 letter on Bailey Lovie at 1.5m 22/4/2006: 6/60 / 18 letters B-L at 1.5m She did not appear to fixate eccentrically - no dodging around - read down chart fluently.I have found stuff on internet about experiments suggesting EPO might protect vision but nothing to say that it could restore some lost vision in humans. What do I do now?? Has anyone heard anything about this? Who do I tell? Please help!
