Is it better being an optometrist in Canada compared to the UK. Is there plenty of work out there?. How do salaries compare. How is optometry structured out there i.e are optometrists basically refractionists who refer to the medical practitioner in cases of disease. Are there big multiples offering work or is independent practice better there?

Actually an interesting point. Does anybody know also if further qualifications are required to practice there?

What places in the world are left open to Uk optoms that do not require further qualifications?
