Can anyone explain what the following slit lamp filters are? and what they are used for?

 

Heat absorbing?

Grey?

If you're looking at the macula for a long time with volk you can damage it so maybe the heat absorbing filter will give it a bit of protection.

 

A bit like the yellow filters on volk lenses used for training?

agree with homer. grey one is 50% neutral density.

I belive neutral density filters are used to help photophobic px's

I think the neutral density ones can be used for photography too.
