Regarding decompensating near exophoria:

How does the management differ with the age of the patient? I know there are a few options: negative add, prisms, eye excercies - but which management option should be used for a 1.child 2.pre-presbyope 3.presbyope?

In general, your care plan for phoria's are

Start with simple treatments and work up.

So you would start with glasses, backed up with simple exercises.

Prisms tend to be used later, or if the person is older.
