I recently sat a CDM mock exam. In one of the senarios i was asked to work out what eye size I would dispense to a 5 year old child with a PD of 66mm. How do I work this out??? And what would the bridge size be?

-you can only guestimate this - a five year old child would not have a pd of 66 - so something is well wrong here. A typical man would be 64 and lady 62. #

Say a five year old child has a pd of 55.

and the bridge would be typically 14 - then the eye size would be 55 - 14 = 41mm

- and that is all typical numbers.
