european pharmacopoeia. its to do with the 'recipe' of the drug. BP stands for british pharmacopoeia.

Thats rite the only otha one is USP - United states pharmacopoeia, i wouldnt wori bout it too much. Each one i.e. BP, pH EUR and USP make the drug slightly different, the code identifies how drug was made as Maureen said.
