revision for the pqe
Aug 09, 2007 23:30:41 I am finding it hard to find a good strategy for revising for my PQE. My exam in septembre. how to revise, what to revise, how to prepare for the 4 sections. thank you |

Aug 10, 2007 06:31:55 The 4 exams retest competancies that you are supposed to have already acheived following your quarterly assessments. I would concentrate on those areas where you feel that you may be weakest. Consider discussing real cases with your supervisor and colleagues, picking out what you think are the important bits and discussing management strategies for CDM, carry on working on your routine, making sure you are accurate and smooth and that it is routine, practice your contact lens insertion and removal and get your supervisor to talk through your fittings, practice on friends and family and colleagues for RGP if you don't see much in practice, talk through some contact lens records and have a routine for aftercare and finally lots of bookwork on ODA, make sure you have had some experience seeing real patients with pathology at a Hospital eye unit and read up on the common conditions, diabetes, ARMD, cataract etc. |
