cl exam
Sep 11, 2007 16:00:28 Hello there examiners. I have got to resit my cl exam. I have a couple of questions that I'd appreciate if you could answer ASAP as my exam is on thursday. 1. If we give px a care regime such as warm compressess or lid scrubs do we have to recall the px back early?? If so, how early would you recommend?? 2. I have been to city university for practise recently the slit lamps their have beam width graticule ranging from 1-5. When you set the graticule at 1 and measure the beam width on the focusing rod (using a ruler with the naked eye) it results in a value of about 1.7cm. This has really confused me. What unit of measurement are the graticules? How can I therefore accurately measure the prism height as opposed to estimating it? The graticule for the verical height of the beam has no values on it so I cant use that too. Any answers would be much appreciated. |

RE: cl exam
Sep 11, 2007 17:21:45 Also, in my exam my px had 2.50DC corneal cyl with no crystalline lens astig. Having fitted my spherical maxim ML92 RGP on the flattest Ks it showed with the rule astig. Is it fine to say that the lens is acceptable if px is asymptomatic and vision is fine etc eventhough you dont get the typical Fl picture. Thankyou. |
