Third colorimeter conference

The Institute of Optometry are hosting a half-day conference on the use of Intuitive Colorimeter on 26th September 2007 on behalf of the Society for Coloured Lens Prescribers. The conference deals with the clinical or research use of the Intuitive Colorimeter for prescribing precision spectral filters and is will be of interest to optometrists, orthoptists and ophthalmologists.


The first session will review recent research with the Intuitive Colorimeter and will include presentations by Professor Arnold Wilkings, Dr Deacon Harle, Ben Wright, Dr Cathering Porter, Sarah Stevenson and Dr Nadia Northway. The second session will concentrate on clinical experiences with the Intuitive Colorimeter, and will start with a ‘master class in colorimetry’ by the instrument’s inventor, Professor Arnold Wilkins. Other topics will cover a new Society for Coloured Lens Prescribers, the disabled students allowance, and a colorimeter user’s forum. This last session, chaired by Professor Bruce Evans, will encourage audience feedback on a range of topics relating to clinical experience with the instrument.
