National Children's Conference: Are Children's Standards Slipping?
Thursday, 8th May 2008 (10:00am – 4:00pm)

The Together Trust, The Together Trust Centre, Schools Hill,
Cheadle, Cheshire

VISION 2020 UK’s second National Children's Conference takes place on May 8th. The Conference has taken a theme of standards and the aim is to establish the foundations of recommendations specifically to meet the needs of children.

In the morning we have speakers outlining examples of good practice and then discussion groups will separate to begin work on setting standards. Each group will take a separate topic area using the adult standards as a guide.

In the afternoon we change themes slightly and have a presentation from Michael Clarke (Ophthalmologist) on lazy eyes and eye patching. This is followed up with the results from our Poetry Patched competition.

The day finishes with a short 'Question Time' style session.

Once again we are encouraging people to pair up with colleagues from different professions by offering a "Two for One" deal, whereby two people can attend for the price of one - that's £60 each, rather than £120.

Programme/Delegate Booking Forms can be found within the Library Section of VISION 2020 UK’s website (added 20th December 2007)
