Changes to Optometric Quarterly
Changes to Optometric Quarterly
01 July 2002
The Directorate of Optometric Continuing Education and Training (DOCET) is pleased to announce that its Optometric Quarterly (OQ) tapes are now available online at
www.docet.info
Practitioners can download individual articles and in the future an archive will also be available. In addition to being on the College website, practitioners can also opt to receive OQ in CD format instead of cassette.
Further to the changes outlined above, DOCET has moved to an online marking system for gaining CET credits for OQ. DOCET's current commitment is to encourage "innovation and experimentation in the way in which CET is delivered to the profession, having regard to the need for cost efficiency and value for money."
Therefore, online marking represents a considerable cost saving for DOCET over a paper based system as well as improving the efficiency of the process.
Anyone wishing to receive CD format for the next issue of OQ should contact Rachel Kellett on 020 7766 4381 or e-mail
rkellett@college-optometrists.org before the 26th July 2002.
