College offers discounted private health insurance to Members

02 September 2002

The College is pleased to announce that it has been able to negotiate, on behalf of its members, economical, comprehensive medical health insurance cover on preferential terms with Western Provident Association (WPA).

College President Frank Munro commented that the scheme "offers exceptional value to our members, and that this scheme will give top quality cover at a very competitive premium." The discount granted for being a member of the College equates to an average saving of ten percent over WPA's standard premiums.
WPA is over one hundred years old and is a not-for-profit association. It is one of the country's leading providers of private medical insurance and offers excellent value for money, high levels of cover, a first class reputation for the payment of claims with guaranteed high standards of service.

The College has negotiated a choice of plans for its members, including a corporate policy for members with three employees or more and an individual plan for the self-employed. Optional dental and cash plans are also available. One of the unique features of this policy is that WPA covers all subscribers for virtually every hospital, and therefore allows subscribers access to every consultant in the country at a premium well below that which most other insurers charge for much more limited cover.

For further details about the scheme, please contact Andrew Rouse at WPA on 01629 814678 or by email at arouse@wpahealthcare.co.uk or at Vernon House, Vernon Drive, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1FZ for a detailed quotation.
