DOCET is pleased to announce that it now has its own website – http://www.docet.info

The website includes frequently updated information about DOCET itself, such as who the committee members are, current funding policies, the annual review, results of the patient and practitioner surveys, and news of latest developments. However, for many Optometrists, perhaps the most useful part of the DOCET website will be the resources and information section. Frequently used resources, such as the Communication Skills Factsheets and Optometric Quarterly from OQ42 onwards, are already available to refer to online or download. More resources will become available as the site develops.

A well-used website will enable DOCET to make its money go further – distributing learning materials via the internet is much quicker and more cost effective than sending them by post, and is particularly valuable for updating material and back copies.

Longer term, DOCET could become the central point for learning resources for UK Optometrists. If you have any ideas on how the site could be developed or would like more information please contact the College.
