The College of Optometrists

The College will be running four one-day courses at various locations across the country in May. ‘An Introduction to Supervision’ will cover all aspects of supervision, in particular the New Scheme For Registration of UK Trained Optometrists and how this will affect supervision of pre-registration trainees. The course is aimed at current supervisors, anyone who intends to become a supervisor and those who have supervised in the past and would like a refresher course.

 

The courses will discuss supervisor arrangements in detail and will also draw on the experiences of an experienced supervisor, an assessor in the new scheme as well as the College’s Pre-registration Co-ordinator. Courses will run from 10.30am – 4.30pm each day at the following locations:

 

Monday 24th May London
Tuesday 25th May Birmingham
Wednesday 26th May Manchester
Thursday 27th May Glasgow

 

The cost is £50 per attendee, which including lunch and refreshments. Each delegate will also receive a complimentary copy of the publication ‘Supervision in Practice’.
