College of Optometrists Annual Conference Optometry Tomorrow

College announces keynote speaker and extended lecture and workshop programme for 2005 conference.
 
Following the success of Optometry Tomorrow 2004, the College of Optometrists is pleased to announce an extended lecture and workshop programme for 2005. The event will take place on 20 and 21 March at the Palace Hotel, Manchester, and will carry approximately 12 CET Points* - equivalent to the yearly average number of points UK optometrists need to gain prior to the Spring 2007 GOC Deadline.
 
The main lecture programme will address a number of hot topics including Myopia, Therapeutics and Contact Lens Complications, whilst interactive workshops will run alongside addressing other topical issues such as how to improve communication skills with patients and tips on better record keeping.

A Jubilee Lecture will be held in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the College and will be presented by Professor John Marshall, Frost Professor of Ophthalmology and Chairman of the Academic Department of Ophthalmology, at St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He will address the conference on the current drivers of refractive surgery.
 
A Jubilee Dinner will be held at the award winning Imperial War Museum North on the Sunday night. Guests will dine along with the exhibits in the main exhibition area, and the entertainment will be provided by a local band.
