04 August 2004

The College welcomes the opportunity to comment on the suggested reforms as laid out in the draft Opticians Act (Amendment) Order 2004 and is supportive of the principles of streamlining procedures, and greater involvement of patients and the public, which lie behind the reforms.

As a chartered body the College works for the benefit of the public. We do this by providing the highest possible level of professional support for our members so that they, in turn, can provide the best level of professional service to the public.
