CET Self-Certification Update

08 December 2004

The College's CET scheme is self-certifying and all Members will shortly receive a letter from the College asking for the number of CET points accrued in 2004.

The letter will be sent out later than in previous years, because the College is still finalising with the GOC the information you will need to provide to us. This is in view of the handover of the College scheme to the GOC with the start of its compulsory CET scheme, which will be administered by Vantage Technologies from 2005.

On receipt of this letter you will have approximately six weeks to return your form to the College. This form will ask for the course reference numbers, which should have been supplied to you by the course organisers or distance learning providers.

A maximum of 12 points acquired in 2004 can be rolled over into the compulsory CET scheme. The College will notify Vantage of the number of points you will be rolling over – you will not need to do this yourself.

For more information on the compulsory scheme please visit www.cetoptics.com.
