As part of the support it provides to Pre-Registration trainees the College has launched a new package of benefits designed to help them during their pre-registration period.
The package of Pre-Registration trainee benefits includes:
- PRP Talk – An online forum on the College website designed specifically for trainees to ask questions and gain answers directly from College Examiners and Assessors.
- Bookswap – A new service that enables trainees to sell or swap any unwanted text books via the College website
- College Library – Trainees may visit the College library, one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of optical books and journals, and borrow up to 2 items at a time.
- Discounted Optometry Tomorrow Tickets – A limited number of heavily discounted tickets have been made available to trainees.
- Optician Journal Discount – 1/3 off the normal annual subscription rate.
- College/Elsevier Book Offer - 15% off all Elsevier Science Optometric Titles (plus free postage and packing)
- College Members’ Room - situated within the College’s headquarters in London where Members can meet and relax
Chief Executive, Bryony Pawinska commented: “Since the introduction of the new Pre-Registration Period, the College has had an even closer and more supportive relationship with all of its trainees. I am pleased that the College is able to offer an extended range of benefits designed with their specific needs in mind”.
