VAO scores in Ethiopia

On a recent project to Ethiopia a group of Vision Aid Overseas volunteers did more than just provide spectacles to the local population - they also managed to donate an entire football strip! The lucky recipients were members of Butajira Ladies football club, a local team near to the VAO clinic at the Grarbet Ledekuman hospital in Butajira.

Optometry Scotland Hails New Contract

The College of Optometrists welcomes the Scottish Executives announcement heralding the reform of eye care in Scotland. In a statement to the Scottish Parliament today (26 October 2005) Deputy Minister, Lewis Macdonald MSP. outlined plans for the delivery of free eye checks for all by 2007.
