College announces Election Results

The College is pleased to announce the results of the 2006 elections to Council.

Nominations, which closed in October, resulted in a requirement for ballots in four regions – London, North West, Scotland, and South East. A total of 978 votes were cast (23% turnout) and the following were elected to serve as Council Members for their regions for the next three years:

The new Council Members will be welcomed on to the Council at the College’s AGM on the 11 March 2007 and will become part of the full complement of 40 Council Members. Commenting on the results, College President, Kevin Lewis said “I am delighted that, for the first time since the new College governance structure was implemented in 2005, there will be a full complement of regionally elected Members of Council. I would like to congratulate all the successful candidates and I look forward to meeting them all at the AGM in Newcastle in March.”
