Delivering the Vision - Early Bird Registration Extended

03 November 2006

The early bird registration deadline for Delivering the Vision – a conference being hosted by the Department of Health and the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) – has been extended until 22 November 2006.

Anita Lightstone, Head of Service Development and Research at RNIB, said: “Delivering the Vision is a major conference and exhibition event focusing on the future of eye care in England and Wales.

“Following the recent reconfiguration of PCTs and SHAs, we felt it was only fair to extend the early bird deadline so that people in new posts can also benefit from the reduced rates.

“Most places have been booked so we would encourage people to register quickly to avoid disappointment.”

Delegate rates until 22 November 2006: £150 plus VAT (Voluntary Sector Delegates: £120 plus VAT)
Delegate rates from 23 November 2006: £250 plus VAT (Voluntary Sector Delegates: £175 plus VAT)

Delivering the Vision takes place on 17-18 January 2007 at York Racecourse. It will showcase the findings from the pilot stage of the NHS Eyecare Services Programme. It will demonstrate how commissioners and practitioners in eye health, social services and the voluntary sector can work together to deliver high quality, integrated, patient-focussed services.

Presentations will be given by experts across all sectors. Speakers include Rosie Winterton MP, Minister of State for Health Services, Department of Health, Richard Clarke, Head of Partnership and Delivery Unit, Office of the Third Sector, Cabinet Office, and Bob Ricketts, Head of Demand-Side Reform, Department of Health.
