The next written examination of the ECOO-European Diploma will take place from 28th – 30th September 2006 in St. Etienne (France).

The European Diploma is initiated by ECOO (European Council of Optometry and Optics). The German “Zentralverband der Augenoptiker” (ZVA) is responsible for the organisation of the European Diploma. The European Diploma aims to guarantee a unified qualification in the training of optometrists.

The examination of the European Diploma consists of one written and one clinical part. The written examination in October consists of a Multiple-Choice-Test. The clinical part in June simulates the dealing with a client who has got some special visual disturbances.

The deadline for the registration for the written examination is 1st August 2006.
