Optician James Goldenburg is organising The Eye Ball to be held at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square to raise money for Fight for Sight’s appeal for the new International Children’s Eye Centre at Moorfield’s Hospital.
James, who works at Specsavers in Wood Green, is hoping up to 600 people from the optical industry will attend the ball, to be held on February 25.
James said: “I wanted to hold an event that was for everyone within the industry – most of the events we attend tend to be just for specific companies. And I thought there was no better cause than the new Children’s Eye Centre.”
Tickets will cost £95 to include a champagne reception, three-course meal, disco, charity auction and raffle.
