Surveys and Questionnaire Design

This course will provide participants with the background information required to plan and carry out surveys.  The course will cover

features of a survey, types of survey, strengths and weaknesses
survey design including defining the target population and how to select a sample of participants
questionnaire design including: developing questions; ways of eliciting responses; questionnaire layout and appearance; validity and reliability


Evidence Based Practice: How to find the evidence and make sense of it
Sunday 24th February 2008
1.00 – 5.00pm
Venue: The College of Optometrists, 42 Craven Street, London WC2N 5NG
Facilitator: Mr John Tickner

This course will enable participants to:

understand the concept of evidence based practice
appreciate where to find evidence
critically read research papers to differentiate between good and bad evidence
