The College of Optometrists awards up to six Travel Bursaries each year to postgraduate students, to enable them to present papers on their research at conferences. Bursaries are awarded for either poster or oral presentations.
To be eligible for an award, students must be Fellows or Members of the College and must be undertaking a postgraduate course approved by a university for the award of a higher degree. Students may receive one bursary award during the period of their PhD only.
Applicants must apply no later than three months prior to the date of travel. The deadline for submissions is 6 April 2007. The maximum award granted in 2008 will be £400.
