Congratulations on your success in the College’s Professional Qualifying Examination.
In choosing to join the College you will be eligible to receive an invitation, plus two tickets for family or friends, to our Diploma Ceremony, scheduled to take place in London on Wednesday 31 January 2007. This is one of the highlights of the College year and the opportunity to celebrate your success with friends and family, as well as to meet College Council Members and staff.
At the College’s annual Diploma Presentation Ceremony you will be presented with your membership diploma to mark your achievement of professional status and membership of your professional body. In addition, the College takes the opportunity to recognise and reward other achievements by its Members in the professional sphere, through the award of Fellowship and Higher Diplomas.
This year’s event is being held at Central Hall Westminster, Storey's Gate, London, SW1H 9NH on Wednesday 31 January 2007. The ceremony commences at 2.00pm. Please note that places will be strictly allocated on a “first-come, first-served” basis, to secure your place you are advised to return the enclosed forms, and the College Membership forms contained in your Pass Pack, to the College immediately.
The forms must be returned to the College by Midday on Friday 12 January 2007 at the very latest, you will receive your tickets, a map and further instructions shortly after this date. Dress for this occasion will be the academic dress of the College, which will be provided free of charge for all Members of the College being presented with their Diplomas. The ceremony commences with the President, College officials and dignitaries in procession.
The ceremony will be followed by a reception, during which there is the opportunity to meet senior members of your profession and the College, and the chance to renew university friendships. You are invited to bring two guests to attend the ceremony and reception as indicated on the accompanying pro forma. There is no charge for the reception for you or your two guests. If you wish to bring additional guests (over and above the two included in this invitation) they are most welcome at an extra charge of £50.00 per person.
The Diploma Ceremony is always a very special occasion for the College, its new Members and their friends and families. I look forward to meeting you there and sharing in, what I am sure will be, a memorable day.
