Dr Kathryn Saunders BSc MCOptom Kathryn is a Senior Lecturer in Optometry at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, Northern Ireland where she is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. Her main research interests relate to the impact of neurological impairment on vision in childhood and optimising visual potential of children with special needs. She is a College Examiner and has an honorary Optometric appointment at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. |

Douglas Rodney McDowell BSc(Hons) MCOptom Rod is Senior Lecturer/Clinic Director at the University of Ulster, Optometry Clinic, his research area is sports vision and optical effects on perimetry. He is a Northern Ireland Optometric Society Committee Member. Rod is also Chairman of the NIOS CET committee and has been since November 2004. He has been a College supervisor since January 1990. |
