For more than a century the British Optical Association Museum has been cared for by a succession of keen individuals, some with great technical expertise and all with a passion for the physical heritage of ophthalmic optics. In 1998 the museum acquired its first full-time professional curator although he is greatly assisted by a network of special subject advisers and volunteers who provide occasional 'hands-on' help.
This part of the site records the lasting contribution of these dedicated people.
